Participant ID Number of Accepted Students
“International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) : Preliminary Selection Contest － Hong Kong 2008” was close for enrolment on 19 April 2008, Saturday. Over 630 students of 122 Secondary Schools applied for the Contest this year.
Names of accepted students can be found in the “School List of Accepted Students” (Please click school name to browse accepted students accordingly), all teachers and students should read it carefully. For enquiries, please contact Ms Shirley Kwok on 3698 3502. Students without school nomination will not be accepted as contestants.
The large number of contestants joining the event will be arranged to sit in Hall or General Purpose Room. All contestants should bear in mind one’s own Participant ID No. and the designated venue, and must sit in the assigned seats according to the Participant ID No. in the designated venue of La Salle College, 18 La Salle Road, Kowloon on or before 8:45am on Sunday, 1 June 2008. All contestants should read the “Rules and Regulations” carefully and be reminded of the following points:

Contestants should wear school uniform and bring along their Hong Kong Identity Card. Those who fail to comply may risk disqualification. |
2. |
Using calculators is prohibited. |
3. |
No stationeries will be provided. |
4. |
Those who arrive the designated venue 30 minutes after the starting time of the Contest will be disqualified and not allowed to enter the venue. |
5. |
Contestants are not allowed to leave early during the first 30 minutes and the last 15 minutes of the Contest. Consent of the invigilators must be obtained for early leave. |

Ø This Contest will be postponed when Education Bureau announces the cancellation of classes. In such case, student participants please visit our website (http://gifted.hkedcity.net) later for arrangements of make-up contest.

Results of the Contest, the details of Certificate Presentation Ceremony and the arrangement of IMO Training will be released on our website on Thursday, 12 June 2008. School principals, teachers and student contestants should take the initiative to check the details. The Certificate Presentation Ceremony will be held at the Theatre, 4/F, EDB Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre, 19 Suffolk Road, Kowloon Tong on Saturday morning, 28 June 2008.
